Spice Tour Visit gardens and farms in the centre of the Island. where more than 40 species of banana are grown. You will see and taste the spices, tropical fruits and medicinal plants of Tanzania. The clove, which made Zanzibar famous, is not a fruit but the dried bud of the clove flower. Black pepper is a climber, clambering over host bushes and trees of other species, while vanilla is an orchid.


The spice trip can be combined with a visit to Jozani Forest to see the Red Colobus monkeys,
and to see boat-building.

City tour A car and guide will take you on a tour of the Stone Town, taking in the outstanding features including the Old Fort, the House of Wonders, the Palace Museum and the Anglican Cathedral and the site of the former Slave Market. You may visit the fruit market and wander through the narrow streets of the old City.
Kizimkazi swimming with Dolphins a car will drive you south to Kizimkazi,
where there is an ancient mosque. A local fishing boat can take you out to see the many dolphins which inahbit southwest Zanzibar. You may even be able to swim with them if you like - they can be amazingly friendly and curious.

Traditional Dhow trip to the Islands Spend a wonderful day on a traditional wooden dhow. You will be picked up from Kilele Square in Shangani, to sail to some of the small islands off the Stone Town. The reef here is home to a profusion of colourful fish, birds and other marine life including the Zanzibar Butterfly Fish - Chaetodon zanzibarians, Pincushion Starfish, octopus, giant clam and lobster.
You can snorkel and sunbathe before returning to Stone Town.
