There are many excellent places to stay in Zanzibar.
It is a good idea to combine a stay in or near Stone Town with some time at one of the beach lodges.
There is so much to see in Stone Town and most of the interesting sights, such as the Spice Tour, visits to Jozani Forest, Dunga and Kizimkazi can best be seen from a base nearby.
